Meditation in Everyday Life is designed to provide participants with the introductory tools and teachings for working with meditation in daily life.

With simple instructions and support, mindfulness meditation practice can become part of our lives, bringing greater stability, strength, and clarity. In this way, we can improve the quality of our daily life and deepen our experience of ourselves through the practice of meditation.

Tuition includes a materials fee of $20. Participants will receive a copy of the book Turning the Mind into an Ally by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, which will be used in this course.

Prerequisite: None
Recommended: Shambhala Training Level I: The Art of Being Human

Please plan to attend each session of the program. The first and last classes are especially important.

Program Fee

The Baltimore Shambhala Center relies on program registration fees, as well as on donations, to be able to cover our operating expenses, including the monthly rent. We very much value your paying the registration fee for this program, if you are able to afford this amount.

If you are unable to pay the full registration fee, you may receive part of the fee from a scholarship fund that has been set up to enable all who are interested to take this Shambhala program. A scholarship up to 60% of the program registration fee is available, without waiting for approval. Larger scholarship requests will be considered upon request.

A 25% deposit is requested now if you can not pay the full program fee or the reduced amount after a scholarship at this time (unless you are requesting a scholarship for >60% of the registration fee). If requesting a scholarship, please go to scholarship page first, before making a deposit.
