Harvest of Peace

    Room: Main Shrine Room

Harvest of Peace is our annual celebration of the changing of the seasons and the autumnal equinox.  This is an opportunity to reflect on the transition of the seasons, the abundance of riches that this community has to offer, and to express our gratitude for all of these things.

Please join your sangha family at the Center for a celebration of practice, feasting, and fun. We'll begin the afternoon by sitting together and practicing (bring your malas!).  We will be having a potluck feast after practice (please sign up for the potluck here) and follow that with a Shambhala movie night in the main shrine room.  During the day, there will be some kid-friendly activities and in the evening, during the movie presentation, a kid-friendly movie will be shown in the classroom for any 'littles' who join us.  Here is the schedule for the day:

    3:30 pm - Doors open

4:00 pm - Practice begins with meditation and the Sadhana of Kindness (copies will be provided for use at the center)

    5:00 pm - Potluck Feast!

6:00 pm - Movies start (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty - 2013 version / children's movie TBA)
