Monthly Deleg Meeting (Central Baltimore City)

December 9th

Date details +
    Room: Other Location

Join us for our monthly Deleg meeting!  Deleg meetings usually occur on the 4th Sunday of each month from 3 to 5 pm in different neighborhoods in the city.  December's deleg meeting will take place in the Johns Hopkins Homewood campus area.

    What is a Deleg?

A Deleg is the concept of a neighborhood Sangha. In a Deleg, Sangha members in a certain geographical area will connect with each other and meet at each other’s houses on a regular basis to socialize. In between meetings, we make sure that, if someone has a medical or other practical need, the Deleg members coordinate with each other to provide practical assistance (rides, meals, etc.). It is part of the vision of Enlightened Society. The view is to encourage social connection — good human society — among people affiliated with the Center and to facilitate support when needed.

There will be light snacks (pot luck contributions welcome; soft drinks and light appetizers available).
Conversation will include an opportunity to learn more about each other and Delegs, plus, if there is time and interest, an informal exploration of a Lojong (mind training) slogan.

Please RSVP to Claire Twose at [email protected] for the address or more information.
