    Room: Secondary Shrine Room/Classroom

You are warmly invited to join a participant-led study group focused on Lojong, the ancient Tibetan guide for developing compassion and relieving the sufferings of ego. We meet every Thursday evening at 7:00 to explore a different slogan. We'll be using as study texts Pema Chodron's Start Where You Are and Norman Fischer's Training in Compassion.

We encourage participants to consider coming to the Center early to enjoy our weekly Taste of Shambhala open house, with supper starting at 6:00 p.m. and communal sitting at 6:30 p.m.

August 1st: "Sending and taking should be practiced alternately. These two should ride the breath."
August 8th: "Three objects, three poisons, and three seeds of virtue."
August 15th: "In all activities, train with slogans."
August 22nd: "Begin the sequence of sending and taking with yourself."
August 29th: "When the world is filled with evil, transform all mishaps into the path of the bodhi."
September 5th: "Drive all blames into one."
September 12th: "Be grateful to everyone."
September 19th: "Seeing confusion as the four kayas."
September 26th: "Four practices are the best of methods."
