You have a natural potential for wisdom, compassion, and courage. You have basic goodness that is always present in you. You have a warrior’s heart that can face life’s challenges with gentleness, confidence, and humor. How can you discover and express these qualities in your daily life?

Join us for a six week course that will introduce you to the Shambhala teachings and practices of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, one of the most influential Buddhist teachers in the West. He offered a secular path of meditation that is open to people of any spiritual tradition or none at all.

This course will be taught by Chris Kreeger, a senior teacher who has taught meditation, Shambhala, and Buddhism for over 30 years. The course will take place in Chris’ home in Baltimore, affording an intimate gathering where participants can connect with people similarly interested in meditation and develop a supportive, ongoing community of friendship.

The course will be held over six consecutive Wednesday weeknights from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. starting February 7th. Sessions will include meditation instruction, Shambhala path teachings, and discussions.  The course also includes a full day of sitting and walking meditation practice on Saturday, February 24th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Full location details will be in the email confirming your registration.

This course is suitable for beginners as well as experienced meditators who want to deepen their practice and understanding. It is also the first step in the Shambhala Training path, a comprehensive secular curriculum of meditation practice focused on bringing the fruits of meditation to everyday life challenges.

Because Chris’ living room can only accommodate 12 people, we recommend registering early to secure your spot. To get the most out of this program, we ask that participants make a personal commitment to attend conscientiously as best they can. This helps create a supportive environment for everyone and provide necessary continuity.
